The FireDeTec System, how does it work?
Key part is our patented polymer tube, which will be installed according to the state of art into the object that has to be protected. The Tube is connected to a valve and a Fire extinguishing cylinder and will burst on the hottest spot at a temperature of 110 ÂºC. It acts as a multi-sensor and multi-extinguishing jet triggering the nozzle where the most heat is detected. As a matter of fact, the extinguishing agent is discharged in the nearest area of the fire. This has an enormous advantage compared to other systems, for ex. sprinklers, fire can be fighted in a very early state of appearance and very near to the source of potential fire.
The System is independent of the extinguishing agent and the quantity of agent. A variety of suppressants, like Water, Foam, Powder, CO2, or one of the different extinguishing gases, in common extinguishing agent cylinders can be conected/used.
The whole system is independent of external power supply, is leak resistant and not sensitive to external influences like knocks or vibrations. The effectiveness of this simple system is full proof.
The alarm is triggered by a pushbutton, or a potential free switch.
Definition of object safety with FireDeTec
Meanly the aim of safety in an Object Safety System with FireDeTec, is to limit the fire to this object. The spreading to neighboured objects or rooms, to which the object is installed, has to be efficiently prevented.
It can be seen as a positive side effect, if after a fast action of an Object Safety Installation. Object Safety is reasonable, if the to protect object has a higher fire risk as its surroundings, and if possible structurally limited to these. If several, in the sense of fire risk danger equal objects are in the same room and installed in a group, but structurally limited, the object safety can prevent the fire spreading to other objects.
Especially important is the Object Safety if no permanent process controlling through operators is given.
Object Safety is offering with limited work, the possibility of automatic fire protection, uniting limiting damage and environmental conservation.
Structure and way of working
The simple construction of the FireDeTec extinguishing system will be explained hereafter on hand of the two basic systems, direct- and indirect- extinguishing system.
Both basic systems can be completed with supplementary components, to fit to the desired applications. Of course different suppression agents and cylinders are part of the range.
The characteristics of the direct systems are the use of the FireDeTec tube as detection sensor as well for the suppression agent delivery system. The main application is within closed objects with a volume up to 3 mÂ³. This system is built with a Fire extinguishing cylinder as well with a DLP- or a DHP-valve (Direct Low Pressure or Direct High Pressure) and a FireDeTec tube.
The FireDeTec tube is placed into the protecting area, placed to cover as well the 'difficult-to-reach' areas, for quick response in case of fire. The whole length of the tube is like a multi sensor as well the trace is protecting the area like a multi jet. Different floors or separating walls in an object are no problem for the FireDeTec System
At temperatures over 100Â· 110ÂºC or in case of immediate flame implication and the inner pressure of 10Â· 18 bar, the tube is bursting and the suppression agent is released thru the nozzle like hole.
The proprietary valve with the connected sensor trace is making this operation possible. This valve is closing the extinguishing cylinder, witch, dependent of the suppression agent, can have an operating pressure of 20 Â· 200 bar. In case of pressure loss in the tube, witch has an operating pressure of 10 Â· 18 bar, the valve triggers and releases continuously the extinguishing agent through the nozzle like burst in the tube.
The characteristics of the indirect systems are the use of the FireDeTec tube as detection sensor. The suppression agent delivery is made through a separate pipe with one or several nozzles. With this individual to the object placed nozzles, the protected object is being sprinkled or gazed. The
application of this system is in open or in large volume objects.
This system is built with a Fire extinguishing cylinder as well with an ILP- or an IHP-valve (Indirect Low Pressure or Indirect High Pressure) and a FireDeTec tube for the detection, and a separate suppression agent pipe of cupper or stainless steel.
The pressure in the FireDeTec tube is immediately after triggering of the valve cutted through an internal valve switching. The suppression agent releasing is made through a second outlet and the separate pipe. To make this possible, the valve has a switch module, witch in case of detection of the FireDeTec, is opening the flow between the cylinder and the extinguishing pipe.
This Indirect System can not only release large amounts of suppression agent, but also have a long distance between extinguishing cylinder and the object to be protected.
